Hey, I’m Paolo! the person behind OxiDive, and this whole thing started from a really personal place.
Back in 2024, I was diagnosed with Severe Depressive Disorder. It was a tough time, and honestly, I was just trying to find something — anything — to help me breathe again, literally and figuratively. That’s when I found SCUBA diving.
What started as an escape turned into therapy. Being underwater helped me feel calm, focused, and alive. Yeah, SCUBA can be expensive, but for me? It’s honestly been the most affordable and effective therapy I’ve ever had.
The name OxiDive comes from two things close to my heart. First, my cat Oxi, who’s been with me through thick and thin. Her name came from a pulse oximeter, something I used often when I worked as an EMT for Olongapo City DRRMO. Both the device and the dives reminded me of the importance of breath, life, and just… taking things one step at a time.
In 2025, I decided to turn this passion into something bigger — a space where others could experience the same peace, fun, and healing the ocean gave me. And that’s how OxiDive was born.

We're a passionate group of certified freelance PADI professionals who believe that diving should be fun, accessible, and life-changing — because it was for us! At OxiDive, we bring together years of experience in teaching, guiding, and sharing the magic of the underwater world.
While we currently operate fully online, our goal is big and bold: to grow OxiDive into a full-fledged physical dive shop and training center where we can welcome you in person, gear you up, and dive into unforgettable adventures together.
For now, we keep things personal, flexible, and community-driven — guiding divers of all levels through safe and unforgettable experiences around Cebu’s most stunning dive spots.
